Flo - Young Cob from Dartmoor 14.2hh
People often ask me where I find new horses - I usually reply with: I trawl through the ads online, with a short list of MUSTS, then go with the 'energy' that he horse is showing me.
With Flo it was love at first sight, and I was not wrong. We had just lost our lovely Welsh Cob Rosie, at 26 years of age, and when I saw Flo I immediately thought 'Rosie would be so happy!'
All I can say - it is the 'energy' of the horse that attracts me for whatever reason!
Flo is a lovely, kind positive thinking 'sassy' little mare, with no bad thoughts in her mind at all! She will be a wonderful ride for less confident riders, and forward going for experienced. I know that she will be an amazing Rosie replacement! That is what Rosie would have wished for!
She is currently (winter 2019/20) being backed and ridden around the arena and out on the lanes, after having made many in-hand walks through the woods and lanes around Bossington - she has done her 100 mile in-hand challenge!
Choosing a horse for our yard is intuitive and instinctive - and I am very fussy!! Welcome to Flo!
