Medieval open hall 15th century farmhouse,
in the Vale of Porlock, Exmoor National Park
Comfortable, homely 15th Century Farmhouse B&B accommodation, with garden to enjoy, wonderful views, and walking for miles straight out of the farm. Step in the footsteps of time, a cameo of history, staying in a delightful medieval open hall manor house with an abundance of architectural features, antique furnishings and Persian rugs.
We have three B&B rooms to suit single, doubles, triple and family arrangements. Awake to the song of the garden birds, relaxed and rejuvenated, in this peacefully quiet corner of the Exmoor countryside.
A Full English Breakfast is served in our large dining room, (the former 'Open Hall'), including fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fruit juice, cooked breakfast and toast, with a log fire in the winter. We also have a large library of natural history, bbird of prey and horse books to browse through in the evenings, or a painting and drawing table for budding artists. Sandwiches, light lunches or cream teas are also provided on your riding holiday break. Dogs are welcome to stay B&B wiith you, but cannot accompany you on the rides, as our horses are not used to dogs.
The village of Porlock is just a mile from the farmhouse, within easy quiet walking distance, with cafes, pubs, restaurants and corner shops, where you can indulge in locally sourced foods and fresh home cooked produce.
